For our heavy industry project taking place in Russia, we are looking for a “Material Management Group Chief”.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher degree in Engineering,
• Minimum 8 years of related experience,
• Advanced level of English and/or Russian,
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, Primavera, and Autocad Programs,
• Analytical thinking capabilities,
• A detail-oriented character without losing sight of the big picture,
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced work environment,
• Being an effective team member.

Job Description

• Being responsible for material management operations related to all project materials including steel, underground and aboveground piping materials, electrical and instrumentation materials as well as project equipment within the EP Warehouse,
• To closely follow the entire process from the arrival of the materials from abroad or domestically to the field,
• Organizing all the shipments of the material from ports to the EP Warehouse and from EP Warehouse to the site at the required time, before the material is needed for the construction process,
• Working with project staff including schedulers and AWP teams to plan material and equipment deliveries to the work site and construction teams,
• To manage the specific material assignments of the project materials in the warehouse stocks and the project materials in the shipment phase on the basis of ID / code / heat number / label according to the IWPs (Installation work package), to fix the relevant materials to the IWP packages together with the discipline engineers in the team, to recheck the material assignments in accordance with the revised work packages according to the changes that may occur in the work schedule and to ensure the follow-up of the revisions in the IWPs,
• To ensure traceability of the material life cycle to the final assembly point,
• To ensure the coordination of the exit processes of the materials from the warehouse with the assignment of the project material to the IWP packages,
• Establishing and Implementing procedures for material management and delivery systems,
• Managing and coordinating equipment distribution and material deliveries to construction teams and subcontractors,
• Monitoring the preservation operations,
• Establishing and managing laydown areas to optimize management and issuance of materials during the project period,
• Controlling and managing the storage and the inventory,
• Ensuring that the incoming control inspections of the materials arriving at the site are carried out in accordance with the work schedule and the priority order of the IWPs, to ensure that they are proceeding in accordance with the schedule,
• Ensuring (and monitoring) track records of material deliveries are kept properly according to related procedures,
• In pursuit of elevating their performance; providing guidance, training, best practices, and sharing insights gained from past experiences to the team members,
• Effectively allocating personnel to work assignments that are in harmony with their unique strengths and capabilities,
• Conducting audits to subcontractor material systems,
• Estimating and assessing project risks and working with management to mitigate these risks,
• Controlling the delivery of project materials to the site for activities included in the work schedule and reporting the risks of delays in the project timeline.
